Pianos – The Ultimate Headache Giver

When I was younger I used to take piano lessons, I hated them. I was really into sports and that is totally what I wanted to do when I was younger but due to a knee injury I was unable to play them. So in order to help me out my mom told me I could do anything else and what popped into my head? Piano lessons. When I first started them I really liked playing the piano and had a good time. However my teacher was not the friendliest person and made my lessons terribly boring and absolutely unbearable. My mom would not let me quit no matter how much I begged or how little I practiced. A couple years later she finally let me quit and I was able to participate in sports so that was pretty awesome. However now that I’m older I kind of wish that I had kept with it because it is beautiful talent.

Now I am writing this post with the sole purpose of venting. I am here at work right now and our theatre was rented out as a showroom for a piano seller. There was about 30 pianos in here and one piano tuner. I don’t know if you have heard a person tune a piano but essentially all they do is start on one end and hit the same key at least 50 times until it sounds just right. Then they move on to the next one and since there are many, many pianos they have been doing this for a VERY long time. I have a terrible headache and really want to pop that piano tuner in the face.

I am a pretty nice person and don’t let many things bother me but tuning a piano is definitely on my list of super annoying things. Thankfully the person either finished tuning pianos for today or had something else to do because now there is nothing but the sound of mindless chatter and upbeat music. Thank God. You truly appreciate the sounds of everyday noise once something exceptionally annoying interrupts your day.

Good day.
